| Description: | Onam is all about the Big Fat Onam Sadya. With numerous restaurants offering sadya and payasam options, the task was to create a memorable piece of brand communication that would speak to the Malayali through his stomach. And resonate with his heart. 'Padakaali' is an iconic song composed by AR Rahman for the yesteryear Malayalam film Yodha starring Mohanlal. It is a battle song with a comical touch to it. The Onam Sadya has more than 25 items on the banana leaf. Some like their kalans, some like their Pullisseris, some like their Pradhamans, some like their kootucurries. There is a personal favourite for everyone. What if there is a battle between these favourites? We rewrote the lyrics of the Padakaali song with all the items on the Sadya and created the Battle of the Onam Sadya! It is also the usual practice to have at least 3 or more types of Pradhamans (Kheers) at the end of the meal. So in the end, when the gang realises that they just have 3 types of Pradhaman, Swiggy solves the problem for them within minutes. |
