| Description: | In India a common belief is that only the driver of the two-wheeler needs to wear a helmet, not the passenger. Parents, when riding with their children, tend to wear helmets for their own safety. However, they often operate under the mistaken belief that their children are safe under their care. And overlook the need for helmets for their children, unknowingly putting them at risk for injury. Drawing attention to this value-action gap, the brand developed a film asking parents to spot the “mistake” in a photograph of them and their kid on a bike displayed to them. The parents guess and point out a number of things wrong with the image - from the length of the student’s socks, a missing tie, the hawker’s position on the road or even a car parked on a no parking zone across the street. But they all failed to notice the only glaring mistake in the image - every parent riding the 2-wheeler had a helmet yet, every sitting behind was without one. With a unique narrative device in “spot the error” - the brand was able to highlight this unfortunate blindspot among parents and encourage them to consider helmets for their children going forward. |
