Every smartphone brand now claims of having the best resolution camera to shoot professional-level photographs. So to launch the new Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, the need of the hour was to highlight its unique 8K Video Snap feature that lets you scrub high resolution stills from an 8K Video. While people know that the new Galaxy S21 Ultra has a great camera with high resolution, users are not so well versed with the 8K Video Snap feature and its capability to extract high resolution photos for professional purposes.
Featuring on the cover of the iconic National Geographic magazine is no ordinary feat. Which is why, we put the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra to the ultimate credibility test by collaborating with National Geographic Traveller India for an assignment which was never done before by Nat Geo’s explorers and to shed light on the endemic species of the Western Ghats.
The assignment was to capture a subject for their magazine cover photo using nothing else but the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s camera and its 8K Video Snap feature. This entailed shooting an 8K Video of the Lion-tailed macaques in the wild and extracting a 33MP high resolution photograph from the video, which eventually was printed and featured as a magazine covershot for their next issue.
