Description: Every year, during the festive season, chocolate brands spend a fortune on flooding mobile apps with banner ads. Staying true to their tagline “Eat 5 Star. Do Nothing”, Cadbury 5 Star decided to beat their competition during the festive season, without making a single banner ad. All they did was change their logo to a minimalistic graphic of five stars, drawing inspiration from a symbol that has been a part of their logo for decades. The catch? It was specifically designed to mimic the five white-and-gray unfilled stars found in the ‘ratings page' of every app. So now, every time you use any app on the planet, you're bound to see the new 5 Star logo, even though they never paid for it. It's a $0 banner ad campaign that will be seen literally everywhere, and for years to come, because once you see the logo, you can't unsee it.
